Hello! My name is Katie Romo, and I am a 25-year-old photographer based in Los Angeles, California.
I picked up concert photography a couple of years ago because I wanted to share my love of music through a lens. I was exposed to a wide range of music when I was young, from different decades and genres, and began going to live shows in high school. I soon realized that a concert venue was my favorite place to be, and that watching artists perform my favorite songs was my favorite thing to experience.
I aim to show this in my photographs; I love working with dreamy colors and spotlighting the artists themselves. As someone who grew up attending concerts and still goes to shows myself, I also love capturing the energy of the crowd throughout the performance.
I've had the privilege of capturing 50+ artists and working directly with artists such as Blur, Flipturn, Comfort Club, and more. Most recently, I participated in Amplify Her Voice's Greek Theatre residency and was featured on their Instagram. In addition to picking up shows in LA, I am a house photographer at the Lodge Room in Highland Park.
